"Complying with ICAO standards and appropriate recommended Practices as a minimumbut adopting EASA-based rules or any other suitable rules where there is a definite benefit to Brunei operators, industry or personnel or where there are no ICAO standard."
FUNCTION OF REGULATORY DIVISION AND ITS UNITS
1. REGULATORY DIVISION - MANAGEMENT
- Managing all elements of the Regulatory Division and to manage and faclitate of all aspects of aviation safety and security in a fully ICAO compliant.
2. SUPPORT UNIT
- This section is responsible for providing advice and support within the Brunei DCA; its' goal is to manage and facilitate support for the Brunei DCA that is both effective and efficient.
3. SAFETY AND SECURITY POLICY UNIT (SSPU)
- This unit is responsible for various safety and security oversight activities within the Brunei DCA.
4. FLIGHT OPERATIONS
- This section is responsible for all matters concerning the certification of Air Operators and the ovrsight of aircraft operations.
5. AIRWORTHINESS
- This section responsible for all matters concerning the airworthiness certification of aircraft operated under the Brunei Register by Brunei AOC operators.
6. AERODROMES
- This section responsible for all matters concerning the certification of Aerodromes and the general safety oversight of Brunei aerodromes.
7. AIR NAVIGATION SERVICES (ANS)
- This section is reponsible for the regulatory oversight of Air Traffic Management (ATM) arrangements at Brunei AIr Navigation Service Providers in accordance with Brunei legislation and regulations.
8. PERSONNEL LICENSING
- This section is responsible for the regulatory oversight of Personnel Licensing arrangements in Brunei in accordance with Brunei legislation and regulations.
9. AVIATION SECURITY STANDARDS
- This unit is responsible for all matters concerning the oversight of the Aviation Security provisions for civil aviation in Brunei.
